I just despatched 2 hubbard meat birds, 1 cock which was 4.5kg an a hen at 3.6kg. But the liver of the hen was very pale with normal colour patch. Is it ok to eat the bird? Has it a dessise? Why is her liver this colour? Please help as am worried now.

A liver should be a healthy pink right at first but with in the first
1/2 hour you will notice the color change as the blood dissipates
and the air gets to it but if you are worried just cut it in half and
check for worms or other deformity's if all looks good then put
it in with some onions and a little cooking oil and what ever
else you enjoy .......

Both birds had the same amount of dead time before gutting, both were bled straight after the kill. now iv managed to upload a picture hope it helps. not worried about eatting the liver as thats a defo no no hate the stuff, im worried about eating the meat.
thanks

Looks healthy but is the color the same in the photo
as in the dish ??????? The chicken I would eat as
other intentional parts would show signs of problems
and your liver hasn't any spotting or other visible
defects ........ Dinner Time
