Yeah, mine all died too.

Cochin are known to be broody.

To be fair I've only had two, and I've heard that the US lines tend to be more broody, but at least mine never did

Cochins would be my second option, but I only know one seller, and they o ly sell month olds, and I don't have a spare pen for chicks without a mom
