Aww! How cute. I have 2 EEs, 1 BR, 1 BO, and 1 SS. If you got the "Americanas" labelled as that, they are probably Easter Eggers, not Ameraucanas. @EmmaRainboe and @JadeFarms are great at identifying Ameraucanas vs EEs.
Wow you have one of my dream breeds , The buff Orpington! How is yours behaving?

And I really want a Speckled Sussex or Swedish flower

yeah so funny story about the Americanas, I got them from the hatchery labeled as americanas , but the hatchery also sold Easter Eggers. I know they’re usually the same thing but I call Easter Eggers with some Ameraucana features Americanas. The single Easter Egger that I have I got from a local breeder and she doesn’t have any ameraucana features.

Americana = Easter egger
Those are not pure, they do not have a specific leg, egg or feather color, they have no SOP.
Ameraucana = Purebred, has an SOP and has a specific feather, leg and egg color.

As long as you know they are all Easter Eggers. :)

I have an article on the subject. :D

Oh yeah I know the difference, it’s just easier for me to remember it that way because I hear all three names thrown around so much I just like to differentiate in my own head.

Currently I have one Cochin and a bundle of mutts. I’ve previously had some Olive Egger cockerels, and Blue Wheaten Ameraucana cockerels. Truly amazing birds. I’ve also had many EEs, sadly all were either male or laid brown. I’ve gone through many birds looking for colored eggs, with no success. Hopefully that will all change! On Sunday I’m taking in two rescue chicks. A sapphire gem, which is a type of sexlink. And an Easter Egger! (the one in my profile picture.) super excited! Hopefully she’ll give me my first colored egg! And her BOOF is absolutely spectacular.

Then in the fall I will be getting 3 white Ameraucanas and 3 Lavender Ameraucanas. Along with a barred bantam Cochin and a crele OEGB. Super excited for them too!

Wow , I’m actually planning to do some cross breeding with my Americanas xBarred Rocks . To create a line of chickens who have Ameraucana features with barring.
