Once when I was lecturing at LSU (on mid 1800's medical history), I was asked where I taught history. I had a couple years of college but never a history course past HS. All self taught (pre-internet btw).

I knew that would be good for a few post.
Did you know, the first capital of Texas was in Robeline LA.
The first capital of Louisiana was Dauphin Il. AL and the first settlement in Ocean Springs MS.
