The guineas were in the chicken run all day. This is highly unusual, but I thought "Great! Everyone is getting along!" This BTW is NOT the run attached to the henhouse where the laying boxes are.
Anyhoo, when I went to do the afternoon shooing of the hens into the evening enclosure, I noticed that all three guineas were guarding this egg. It was just there on the ground in one of the dust bath areas. Not even close to the laying boxes. Also, I've never gotten an egg pointed like this on both ends. As you can see, it's also quite large. I don't think it's possible that it's a guinea egg due to its size and shape. I've never gotten an egg from the guineas, so I'm not positive, but what I understand is that their eggs are smaller than standard chicken eggs. Also, I can't try incubating it, because unfortunately it has a small crack.
Any thoughts?
