1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’m somewhat new. In my late teens my mom and I had tons of chickens on her farm. But I’m new to the idea of backyard chickens of my own.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have two hens! 1 partridge silkie and 1 Mille de fleur barbu d’uccle.
Currently I also have two white 4 1/2 week old silkies
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silkies and a barbu d’uccle
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love socializing with them! My favorite is to sit in my yard with them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m very into plants and art!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am married with my partner. We have three cats as well! I work in IT for a school district and I really love animals.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found it when I was researching about chickens!
