I have 7 Easter Eggers that are 5 months old - 6 pullets, 1 roo. I’m integrating them with my 18 month old hens (3 Speckled Sussex, 1 SL Wyandotte). They’ve been in the same run and have free ranged together all summer. This week we took down the divider keeping them separate in the run. The EE hide in the henhouse almost all day. The older hens don’t bully them but they do chase and peck them from time to time - nothing too bad, no feathers pulled, no blood. They all sleep together in the henhouse at night. The run is 6’x27’ so there’s room for them to get away. I also have multiple feeders and waterers.
I have a smaller Omelet coop I could put 2-3 of the older hens in to reset the pecking order.
Should I do that or something else?
