My dog just attacked a black racer- a female. She was shocky and I put her on a heating pad which perked her up but she has a pretty good lac with something sticking out- looks like muscle with a nice sized blood vessel (unruptured) sticking out. I can take her to a vet in the morning but I have some meloxicam which I would be willing to tube down her throat (I have french catheters in various sizes) but I don't want to give meloxicam if its not necessary.
Any advice would be welcome, I need these snakes to kill the mice.
But please, if you're just going to hate on snakes and tell me good riddance, you need not reply. Thanks.
