Not sure if this counts... Jasmine was a special needs bird.

A 2 years ago, when Jasmine was about a year old, she was attacked by a neighbors dog with extensive nerve damage in her legs. She was taken to the vet where they said the best option was to put her down, or we could try the slightly pricier option and give her oral medicine each day that could possibly help her recover.

We chose the medicine. After months of being in a box in a spare bedroom, she slowly started to move about by flapping her wings to get to places. We started taking her outside, and she gained more mobility in one leg and foot, but not the other. Each day we took her outside to get fresh air, and slowly, carefully, she started to recover.

After a while she was able to walk with both legs, but with a heavy limp we thought she would carry her whole life.

She was introduced back with her flock, but was unfortunately bullied so it took a bit longer (now she is fully with the flock.)

And... she lost her limp! She seems like a totally normal chickens now! Keep in mind this whole process took the course of about a year.

this is Nugget, she is a serama and she is 19 weeks old. She was attacked by a raccoon and is blind in one eye, but the sweetest thing ever. she has been through a lot, chicken bullies, mean sisters, raccoons, and much more, even though we love her the same and more. It would mean the world if she was picked.

This is Booboo! She and her sister (Gertie) are silver laced polishes. They used to have another sister called Gossie, but she died as a chick. Booboo is about 5 months old and has crossbeak. But that does not stop her from being super feisty and pecking the others’ crests!
