Im sorry this still has me laughing so i thought i would share

So my blue heeler is 2 yrs old we got chickens and of cource i watch her like a hawk well
she did well i still after 8 months do not trust her 100% alone out with the girls if they are out on foragging duty

but this cracked me up so bad

the other day the girls where out and my girls all love to play my little pippy " BO hen" desided to lay her egg on the yard and My Heeler went over and picked it up and started fallowing the hen as if to say HEY you dropped something . she would put it down by pippy and pippy would leave pretty soon banbdit the heeler was getting frustrated so i called her and said thank you.

now she gathers the eggs foe me LOL .

awwww that is so precious. I dont think I would be worried about him attacking the girls is he brings her eggs to her. Now, i would be worried if the hen starts to roll a ball to the dog to go fetch.!!!!!

That is a wonderful story. Our dog tries to pull feathers out of our chickens butts.
