They did have newer style cameras by the 40's but a few hard heads were still using view cameras as long as they could get film developed. Clyde Butcher developed my interest in large format photography. He has a studio gallery where is prints are often measured in feet not inches. The largest print I've seen of his was 6' x 16' that was hung in the Ft. Lauderdale Airport.I thought they had regular cameras by the forties? As they're driving, couldn't they see the real light? I mean, the lights and the set and the actors themselves aren't black and white, only the camera recording it is.
It was a joke.As they're driving, couldn't they see the real light? I mean, the lights and the set and the actors themselves aren't black and white, only the camera recording it is.
