Ok. Looked this up to confirm where my memory was jogged about the triplets. The first season, the sons were Mike (actor from Spin& Marty on the Mickey Mouse club), Chip, and Ernie (real life brothers). Then they moved networks and lost Mike. New big brother, Robbie (later, as he aged, just Rob) stepped in. When Rob got married, his wife had triplets (sons, of course, in case the show were to carry on but the original "sons" were grown up)

At least if you left pick-up-sticks on the floor, someone just fell on their butt.
