As a bedside nurse I am suprised that some of the biggest fans of Westerns (Horse Operas) are older Black women. A large percentage Love them. I guess they represent a better time. How great is that opening! My pop loved all the westerns ... I was young and we also tended to get shows much later than they aired in the U.S. but I do remember it.
We had red rover banned at our school after a girl got her arm broken.Does anyone remember playing red rover? And getting clotheslined trying to break through the line of kids. Ah those were the days.
Do they have seatbelts now? They must, right? I just know they never did when I was riding them either lol
This comes from several years ago. I'm not sure if they still do this anymore. My friend was a bus aide. She said the new busses actually came with seatbelts but the bus garage removed them before use. Seatbelts were not required in the state (at that time--not sure about not) The rationale was that if the seatbelts were on the busses but students didn't or refused to wear them and there was an accident the school would be liable so it was best to remove them. With the "high" seats they were considered safe. They do but I don't think any kids use them
Nope, they don’t; it may depend on where you live though.
Unless every school can afford to put a bus aide on every bus, I'm not sure how the bus driver (in today's schools) would be able to enforce it. The bus driver has a lot to do to drive safely and make sure there are not accidents. There is no way they can know everything that is going on on the bus, much less, if "Johnny" in the back of the bus is wearing a seatbelt. Even with a bus aide, I think it would be hard to enforce. When I went to school, all our bus driver had to do was say one word and we all behaved! "Yes, sir!"Ahh okay that makes sense! I would think the bus drivers would enforce it but I guess that’s really hard to do.
I never actually heard of anyone breaking their arm, but I was sure that if I kept playing it would happen to me!We had red rover banned at our school after a girl got her arm broken.
We had someone post a recipe they wanted translated because they could not read cursive. Will the future generations be able to read the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence?)
It looks like usual letters but loopy I can't read it well eitherWe had someone post a recipe they wanted translated because they could not read cursive.
Some people can't read their own cursive writing. It looks like usual letters but loopy I can't read it well either

Where I went to school, girls never got spanked. All of us boys got spanked over an eraser battle that was started by a girl. She did not get spanked.Men never spanked the girls.
