My "baby" Lucky died last week. I raised him from 1 day old, he would have been six years old this coming July.
He contracted the dreaded Wet Avian Pox in December. His body took a beating but he was hanging in there. It was hard for him to eat and he lost a lot of weight. I was having him tube fed at the vet...and that's what killed him. He choked to death on the liquid food.
I posted a video on Youtube.
I decided to make a video since I was to grief stricken to answer phone calls or emails. But be WARNED, the video is pretty hard to watch as I was at my utmost grief.
I would like to start a MEMORIAM section where people can post stories/photos, etc.about their beloved pet roosters and hens who have passed away.
My Lucky has been cremated and is sitting about 4 feet away from me. He would still be alive if the vet did not force the tube and food into him that day. He was having problems but she plugged along anyway and killed him. I will never forgive her for giving him such a horrendous death.
