I dont even try to count quail. I count the eggs that havnt hatched. I make sure I know how many I set to hatch and then keep counting eggs. Then after about 12 hours of the same number of eggs left I know that the hatch is over. I tried counting chicks once and that was all it took to drive me bonkers..lol Jenn
