i dont know if this is the right thread for this question but does anyone know how you would go about getting african crested cranes

Is there a permit for those you have to have
That I can't tell you ! In Ohio I have to have a permit for having migratory waterfowl . But I don't need a permit for pinioned mute swans , European shell ducks , Mandarin ducks , . Now on the other hand I do need a permit for wood ducks , Mallards , It depends what state you are in .

texas is pretty lenient on what kind of animals you can have from what I've seen at least animals within reason to own as long as said animal cant kill someone I think it's pretty legal to own anything I just read so maybe I don't have to have a permit at all!
