Juin and Août needed a day off, as they’ve been cranking out the eggs for over a week now. I’m glad they got a reprieve!

I got 7 yesterday.

Again, 5 eggs today. I'm still seeing loose feathers laying around inside the run, and I'm pretty sure they're from the hen I isolated for several days while I attempted to loosen up her impacted crop. I think the stress of that situation caused her to go into molt.

Otherwise, all seven of the girls seem to be healthy and active. I can't even tell for sure which chicken is losing feathers. None of them look scraggly.

I think I'll cook up a dozen eggs today and give them to the girls. I think they'd all enjoy getting a little extra protein.
