Five eggs yesterday and today (out of 8 girls); Martha's faithful daily blues; both Eggers yesterday, only Elsie's lightly freckled green today. The rest brown, not sure whose, but all the girls still have wide, moist vents and are squatting for me so I don't think anyone's gone on winter holiday completely.
They've been enjoying the break between rainstorms, very busily out & about pursuing their chicken business.
Time to waterglass another batch; they're stacking up faster than DH & I can use them, with plenty reserved for holiday recipes. I didn't think their production would continue this much into December. Way to go, my precious pullets!
I got six good eggs, plus there was another one under the roost, soft shell and busted. I suspect that another one of my girls has a problem with internal laying.
