How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Every now and again we have those days. I too have been robbed by, well, I'm not sure, but sparrows or starlings. Filled a thirty lb feeder Sunday afternoon and Monday evening it was practically empty. Time I guess for the grandpa feeder I have been wanting.

Fortunately the little birds can't get into the run or the coop. But they seem to know that there will sometimes be some kinda scraps or, like yesterday, spilled food near the run. So they wait for it.

At what age do your chickens slow down producing eggs? I have Rhode Island reds and black stars.
