Two eggs!! Hen #2 has just started to lay very small eggs (compared to hen #1). Definitely worth the 23 weeks of waiting!

Try adding crushed oyster shell for added calcium... It helped when my hen started laying soft shells... Just add an open bowl or mix it with the feed you use... I also would add an electrolyte / vitamin compound to the drinking water. It will help with any internal parra cites that might be causing it.

Could I mix the oyster shell in with the crushed eggshell dish?

My little white leghorn (peewee) has laid an egg everyday since I brought her home. Just a small one, and then took yesterday off. And today it was bigger. Way to go PeeWee!!!
