20 again today from our 22 BSL's. It was a cold and windy day here in central NC. I wouldn't blame them for sitting inside the coop all day long trying to stay warm.

8 today, have 7 white ones for dying, still need 5 more. Should be doable by the weekend unless the Anconas decide to stop laying.

We got seven from fourteen hens again. I'm going to have to figure out who is laying and who's not. I'm thinking of putting some sort of colored marker in the top of the nest boxes to see who's marked and who isn't. We're getting five eggs one day and eleven the next.

Only 2/3 again - not quite sure who's laying what, as here was a lot of 'musical nest boxes' going on this morning. Only the left hand side nest box is acceptable to my girls for some bizarre reason. The right hand one seems virtually invisible to them! One chook will wait outside the coop impatiently just because someone is on the left box, even though the right one is empty. Today Blackie was in the right box and Rusty in the left one when I looked at 9am. 20 minutes later Blackie came out and announced to the world that she'd laid. When I checked, nothing in the right box, and Rusty still in the left box. 30 minutes later Rusty came out, and there were 2 eggs in the left box! I think Blackie must have thrown Rusty off the nest, done her thing, then let Rusty go back and finish!!!

Mine like the right box, though Austra will lay hers in the left box at times.
I guess those times, red or goldie were using the right box...
So far, and it is getting late for them, only 2 eggs. Austra laid one, and i think Red laid the other.
Weighed 60 - 70 grams each. Austra's more like 70, and the other 60..

3 from 7 all week. ( my eighth is broody ) not sure what's going on, they are out running around, they get the best feed and treats. There holding out lol

Cold this morning! We got 5/14 today. I guess the girls may have been "puckered up" today.
