How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Lol. I did end up getting 3 more eggs this afternoon.

I got ZERO eggs from 5 chickens. I can't wait till their molting is over.

I'm getting 7,8,8,7,8,8 for the past 6 days. Not 100% but still have plenty of eggs to give or sell a dozen a week. My husband and I enjoy sharing our eggs with our friends and family. I'm making warm oatmeal and mash for breakfast and at bedtime, which is now around 4:30. It's cold here and we had snow showers for most of Monday with no accumulation ( thank God). The water heater my husband rigged up is working perfectly!

Ok last summer every so often someone would post that they got 2 eggs a day from one of their chickens. I admit I was very skeptical, thought they just didn't get out there late enough and collect the last egg, or miss counted etc until it happened to me. Then again for the second time this week, so it is possible for one of my crazy franken chickens as I call them to lay an egg at 5am and again sometime between 5:30 pm and 8pm!!

1 out of 4 ...it was a slow day, but 3 out of 4 the last two days ...it has definately been sporatic, but the Wyn's are outlaying the Amauricana's (way more brown eggs than blue)!

Another "What the heck" for me, a noob chicken owner. I would have thought they would moult early enough that they would have their warm winter coat all built up by now.
