It's been awhile since I hung out on Backyard Chickens! Oh my, it's been a good 10+ years ago after doing a quick flashback
Anyhow, I'm excited to be re-establishing our homestead, despite it not being where I thought we'd be doing it
But, hey, we got chickens now so all's gooder
Keeping a small flock of 6 hens this go around. They're about ready to transition from the brooder to the coop. Northern Nevada wasn't has hot as Southern Nevada, so I'm going to be looking to learn how to keep them cool. We're building a coop using Keter 4x6 shed, with a 6ft run off each side. Adding additional venting to the shed, and possibly installing a small solar greenhouse fan. Surely there's wisdom to be cleaned on the subject! Look forward to locating some Southern Nevada chicken folks on here......as well as others
