New members here! I'm Atlas, (he/him,) my wife is Coley, (she/her,) we're from the Southern United States, and we have 5 new little babes!
We're not new to chickens, but these are our first together! I grew up with 15 hens, (and two ducks,) and Coley's grandparents had some, but she never had any of her own.
We have 5 at the moment, (but the chicken math is already happening... lol! I really want a silkie or three.) We have two Buff pullets, two Bielefelder pullets, and a Sapphire Sky cockerel! We're raising them as companions, though we'll probably sell eggs once they're old enough.
It's just us two, but we have four kitties and a GSD! We're both into photography, nature, and self-sufficiency. I'm hoping this is the first step in our homesteading journey, and to living a more natural life!
