Hi everyone! So excited to be a part of this community! My husband & I started our adventures in backyard chicken keeping in October 2020, when we acquired 6 Sexlink pullets (3-4 months old) from a local breeder.

As of today, we currently own 19 hens. We have 5 of our original Sexlink hens, 2 Easter Eggers (we thought we were buying Ameraucanas :D), Olive Eggers, Welsummers, 2 Blue Laced Wyandottes, 1 Andalusian, and 1 Gentle Giant Sexlink (from a local breeder).

I honestly didn’t know what I was getting into when my husband first said, “Let’s get some chickens!” Now I know that there’s always so much to learn. In my Google searches, whenever I ask a question backyardchickens usually pops up with some really good answers. So, even though I have several Facebook groups I follow, I finally decided to join this awesome group of chicken lovers. May the fun continue!
