South Carolina person here.
I just got my flock on May 2nd, 10 hens and 1 Roo. They are Easter eggers. I've always wanted chickens, mostly to be self sufficient; but having a farm with 2 horses and 7 barns cats I figured why not add chickens. Now I'm considering milking/meat goats and/or calves to raise for beef. I've purchased New Zealand meat rabbits and will be bringing them to farm soon.
I hope I can hop on here to find answers to the many issues I'm sure to run in to in raising chickens and thank you all for your time.
