hardware cloth

I am ready to install my hardware cloth for the underside of the coop. I have 4x4's spaced 6 feet apart and then I decided to enlarge coop so I have 4x4's spaced 4 feet apart. Should I put the hardware cloth on like panels or do a wrap around

I've done it both ways. I like wrapping it around better and fastening it down with screwed on 1 by 2's instead of just stapling.

Whats the underside? Are you talking about under a raised coop?

I did the wrap around over the plywood but under the pine siding. I used washers with a screw to hold the cloth in place.

I would add a top, middle and bottom 2x4 horizontal between the 4x4s then use fender washers and screws or wood strips and screws to fasten the cloth.
