That does look like a RIR to me. Buff Brahma looks like a cockerel; probably is since the hatcheries usually mark their cockerels with dye on the heads.

They are adorable!

I think the wing looks white, but is really light brown. Sometimes flashes can distort the true color.

He does have a little white on his wings. One of my other rir hens had white on her wings to.​

holliewould----there are RIR and then there are Production Reds which ar e a lighter color. I bought RIR's froma feed store and 1/2 of them are production reds. Just Google them online and yuou can find out more.

Does he look like a production red or a rhode island red? They came from privett hatchery, on there website they have pictures of production red chicks and they look more like a buff color.
