I am brand new at raising chicks here. My family is more experienced but we are just starting our flock for egg laying. We bought 1/2 Plymouth Barred Rock and 1/2 ISA Brown at TSC March 6, 2022. We were told they were between 1-2 weeks old, all pullets. This one is pretty aggressive going for the food..pushing everyone else out of the way, etc. I noticed this morning the pink on her comb and was wondering if my Amelia (first one to fly and land on top of the food container) is an Adam. I’ve been reading some very good advice here from experienced people and wanted to ask your opinion. The photo of two of them, she’s in the back. Thanks so much!

The dark on the legs can mean female for Barred rocks, also the white on the head if it were all in one place also are indicators for female, when the white is dispersed then it could be male. good luck....
