Hello! I've placed an order for chicks this spring (goal is to have 6 chickens, but placed an order for 8 barred Plymouth rocks). I've been wanting chickens for years and have finally taken the plunge! I am still debating what coop to buy. A low maintenance plastic coop has great appeal. I would love to be able to tractor them around the yard. I'm leaving towards the large raised nestera coop since it is recycled plastic and slightly larger than the eglu but it's hard to be sure it will work well in our climate and for 6-8 hens. Would love any feedback or advice (although I'd caveat that I don't want to build my own).

Excited to be on this journey!

Welcome to BYC. I've never used a plastic coop; It's way too hot here in the summer. One thing about prefab that you should know, is that the manufacturers always exaggerate the amount of chickens that they can accommodate.
Yep, very true.
Thanks! We're in Ohio.
I see now that you wrote that in the title, lol. My bad. It doesn’t show on mobile unless I scroll up.
