I know it's early at about 5 weeks. These three Black Breasted Red Phoenix chicks were broody-hatched. One has had a larger comb for a couple weeks but now it's noticeably darker, and it's becoming larger than the other two.
Middle chick: cockerel?
He prefers hanging out with this rooster (not the dad) while the other two stay closer to mama hen.
