fowl pox

Can I vaccinate my 2 yr old hens for fowl pox. And also does bleach kill the virus in the coop I know it won't work on the dirt in the run but I have lime for that.

Yes you can vaccinate them, it's transmitted by mosquitoes so I'm not sure bleaching the coop will help.

They say it can live in the dander for up to a year that's why I'm wanting to use the bleach

1/10 bleach solution will kill the virus. If you have an alternate spot to house your chickens, I suggest stripping all bedding and using a hose end sprayer to douse every inch, nook and crannie on the coop. If you soak the dirt in the run, it may help lessen transmission and surely won't hurt.
Just saw today where folks are using screen or burlap as mosquito netting in areas that are prone to foul pox. Best of luck!

Lol thank y'all and I am in Louisiana so yes we have a lot of mosquitoes but this is the first time I have ever had a problem with this.
