Found homing pigeon

On a farm near us PE31 area is a homing pigeon, its been there for 6days, I don/t want to capture it as I have a dog and nowhere to keep it, it seems to be eating and drinking fine and flutters off when approached but returns to same spot soon after, its got a ring and is a pretty Grey/blue

It won’t survive long on its own. If you’re able to catch it, some animal shelters and wildlife rehabilitation centers will take domestic pigeons.

It might be easier to catch this pigeon than it seems. Since it’s reliably returning to the same spot, maybe you could put out food and water in a dog crate or something and pull the door closed with a string if he goes in?
