This looks like the perfect place for me to learn as much as I can about chickens! We had chickens when I was a kid, but that's been a 'few' years now. My husband and I are buying his parents house and 37 acres, so we're ECSTATIC to finally be able to start growing our hobby farm! First I comes the chickens. We recently (on July 4), purchased 13 half grown Black Australorps, they're supposed to all be roosters, but we'll see. So much fun!

One thing you can probably count on, if they are "supposed to be roosters," they will be.You can post photos at "what breed or gender is this, and find out now!!
