CINDER LAID AN EGG!!!!OMG! I'm so happy!its very tiny too!its blue!

I am so jealous! Of my three (laying) EEs one lays a green, one cream (almost yellow) and one pink, which recently has been fading so much it almost looks like the cream colored one. I SO hope when my August chicks start laying at least one is blue!

Congrats on Cinder's first egg. Waiting for EE 's eggs is so much more fun than breeds where you know what color they will be.

He looks a lot like my olive egger cockerel named Golden Wing. He and his half sisters are 8 months old and two of the girls still haven't laid a single egg that I am aware of. One of them laid their first egg at 21 weeks.

Totally crazy, right. My boy is a Cuckoo Marans x Splash Ameraucana mix. I'm guessing the Marans was a blue cuckoo because the only way to get a splash chicken is if both parents passed down a copy of the gene.
