I got one this year from Cackle that sounds just like yours. It was a dark brown/black color with like a rust color on it's head when it was a chick. I am pretty sure it is a roo now. He's a month and 4 days old today.

They look so much alike! Are you sure it is a pullet for sure? I'm just wondering because of the same color.

She doesn't have the crown with 3 rows like my other 2 boys Cletus and Titus, and her legs are tiny compared to theirs

oh. Mine is getting a big comb on him, legs are thick, and head is bigger than the pullets. I am glad that I got a roo this year because I want to use him next year to breed with my other hens and hatch some eggs out. Post more pics as she gets bigger please!

oh. Mine is getting a big comb on him, legs are thick, and head is bigger than the pullets. I am glad that I got a roo this year because I want to use him next year to breed with my other hens and hatch some eggs out. Post more pics as she gets bigger please!

It's hard to be certain. We had about 11 mature roosters at the time it was sired, but it was most likely our EE roo Gryffindor or our white rooster of uncertain breed. The mother of this chick was closed up with the white rooster for most of the time, so I'm leaning towards him as the papa.
