Ordered 6 female ducklings from Cackle Hatchery. Got 6 but after caring for them for 10 weeks, at least 3 ended up being males. Called Cackle. They sent 5 duckling with NO heating pad and little bedding. Had a hard time trying to get the survivors to eat and drink. One ducking was dead on arrival and another died the following day. Called Cackle. They said "sorry about no heating pad for ducklings. Our packers messed up." Just like the ones that sent me males instead of females. Since I paid for 6 females, now they will give me refund for 1 duckling. Too many mistakes. Choose to deal with some other hatchery in future. Great disappointment and now faced with males I don't know what to do with. They are 11 weeks old, eat a lot and are big and quiet, healthy, except for one with hip abnormality. Any ideas?
