I have been looking around on BYC for an answer to this question, and if this is a repeat please forgive me. I have a chick that is developing a crooked beak. I have seem many post on chicks with scissor beak, and this is not what this chick has. This chick can eat and drink just fine, and does not seem to have any other issues. If any one knows what this is please let me know. Can it be fixed? Is it a hereditary issue?

I believe there isn't anyway to fix it. It could be hereditary or could have been a humidity problem during incubation.

The good thing is if it has no problem eating or drinking it should be alright unlike the scissor bills where they end up starving to death.

One of my new babies has a beak like this. She's doing ok, and is actually our biggest chick. As long as it isn't having any trouble eating and drinking, there shouldn't be a problem.
