confusion on cuckoo/barred patterned chicks and leg color

I have been reading so much on chickens with barring/cuckoo patterns and which breed is supposed to have which leg color and I can say I am thoroughly confused.

I was given some cuckoo marans eggs to hatch and all of them have yellow legs. But I have been reading that they are supposed to have white legs, correct??

I also have, or what I thought was a barred rocks x white rocks mutt and she has white legs, but both of those breeds have yellow legs??

I admit I am inexperienced and just took the word of the people I got the chicks from. But is it that common for people to not really know what breeds they have? or are there just variances in the breeds?

Don't get me wrong, I love them all and it doesn't matter what they really are. I just think it's funny that none of mine match up to what I have been reading.

So can we clarify this matter:

Barred Rocks =
Cuckoo Marans =
Dominiques=

Barred Rocks = Leg are Yellow (Single Comb and the skin color is Yellow)
Cuckoo Marans = Legs are White (Single Comb and the skin color is White)
Dominiques = Legs are Yellow (Rose Comb and the skin color is Yellow)

Marans should not have yellow legs. Rocks and dominques do.

I guess I have a backyard full of mutts! Even one of my supposed pure bred Buff Orp has some black in her tail. lol
