We have one too. I think he's got a power pack that's easier to use for his incubator though.

The computer style backups work fine as the incubator uses very little power. I plug the turner into one and the incubator itself into another. No noise in the house and I don't have to go outside and maintain a gas engine. It it were to be a long outage then yes I could fire up a large inverter generator and run incubator, freezer and fridge too.
