Chickens loose

I have a rooster and hen that escaped from their run just before sundown. Didn't notice until we went to put the chickens to bed. It is now pitch dark and no way to try and find them. Has anyone ever had this happen? If, and it is a big if, they do make it through the night will they come home to get fed in the morning? No sign of escape route so I assume they got out through the coop run door as I was taking smaller chickens back to the garage.

If they survive the night they will most likely turn up in the morning.

Chickens naturally search for higher ground and somewhere to roost at night... they are either up high or they are hiding. If they survive the night they will come back for breakfast.
