Can mealworms be fed as a treat with a 20% protein feed?

Hello, I have 3 hens, one Iaying and the other two are not. I recently bought a new feed from tractor supply that has 20% protein. Before, I gave my chickens a 16% protein feed along with mealworms as a treat. Now I'm debating whether I should still provide them with mealworms or another type of treat.

Treats should only be 5-10% of their diet. As long as you aren't over-treating, I don't see the problem. It really shouldn't drive up the protein intake that much and even if it somehow bumps it up to 21%, I don't think it's detrimental. I guess just monitor your flock and see how they do with weight and digestion.

I too think just a treat not part of their feed is fine.

Sure, why not? The don't need meal worms at all but as long as they're a treat, it's ok.
