Can I trim warming feathers?

I was watching videos last night about trimming flight feathers and one of them pointed out the warming feathers. It's been really hot out here and I started wondering if the girls would appreciate having those trimmed.

I was watching videos last night about trimming flight feathers and one of them pointed out the warming feathers. It's been really hot out here and I started wondering if the girls would appreciate having those trimmed.

It's not advised to trim contour feathers exposing skin to sun, air, flies, other birds. Best to keep birds cool with fans, cool treats, ice in the water, frozen water bottles, hosing the floor down, ect...
