can i make my roosters tail grow faster?

I have a rooster that i want to show next month but he lost his tail. Is there any way to make it grow back in time?

I would not think so. Keep him separated so none of his new feathers get picked off.

I have a pullet whose tail feathers went missing for some reason. They took about a month to grow back. He might just be ready in time to be shown.

No problem! What kind of rooster do you have?

Do you have possums in your area? They like to pull tail feathers for some reason, when the chicken is large and the possum is small. They also like eggs and if the possum is large they like chicken dinners. May want to set up traps of your choice or cameras so you can see what is going on and take appropriate measures to protect your flock. Good luck

we have possums, but i haven't seen any in a while.

They are sneaky, I had one hide in a lemon tree, not more than a foot or two from where I was standing. Would have never seen him except I turned with a flash light to leave and there he was.

I have a Dutch Bantam. He's not a bantam it doesn't look like. He is very pretty!
