Can chickens hatch their first laid egg?

I hatched my RIR first eggs and they hatched no problem they were a mix of black Australorp (roo) RIR (hen) 7 of 7 hatched but one died the rest are all healthy and grow really fast so I don't think there really is a problem with pullet eggs unless they are deformed
