We had a blackbelly Barbados ram. and I believe Ewbie was a mouflon hair sheep.
The lambs from that cross looked like pot scrubbers and still had to be shorn. but the wool was useless.

It's been interesting.......

Everyone should raise sheep at least once.
we ended up with pricey pets.
The ram lasted 15 years.
(he was my baby)

the dorper is self shearing, but we could shear if we wanted, probably not as much wool as a Rambouillet or other similar wool breeds, but it would still be fun.
