We have a beautiful Blue Laced Red Wyandotte roo, 1 year old, that needs rehoming. We are downsizing our flock and soon moving to place where roosters are not permitted.
-He is not at all aggressive to people, big or little, and has shown no aggression towards our dogs (the dogs ignore them too), and has never pecked or shown any aggre when we have had to handle him. That said, we do not try to handle him a lot other than gentle handling when putting flock to bed at night, so he is at least familiar, if not fond, of being handled.
-He is wonderful watching out for the ladies. We do free range about half the day, and he has been great at alerting and keeping the girls safe.
-He is a rooster and does crow, but usually only when he sees something (car, bird, other animal) or a hen lays an egg (he gets quite excited)
-He is beautiful, the picture below does not do him justice!
We are quite fond of our boy and sad to lose him. We are hoping to find him a new home in central Maine area.
