blue eggs....

--Araucanas lay blue only
--Ameraucanas lay various shades of blue or blue-green
--EEs may lay green, blue, or brown

Easter Eggers, Americanas, and Aracana's (Oh, my!) I believe they are all hybrids so the colors may vary a bit depending on the parents. You can see lots on pictures on the thread showing folks first eggs.

Merry Christmas,

Larry

Nope, mine lay green eggs.

That will teach me to believe Henderson's Breed Chart - thanks Wildsky!

Actually the one of mine lays an egg that could "almost" be blue but the others lay green - one is a really lovely dark olive color.
They are true araucana's as well in case anyong thinks otherwise

the one that almost lays blue is tufted, her name is sky - one of the others is rumpless. They're not perfect show quality but they're pure.

As I understand it, if it's not laying a blue egg, it's not an Araucana.
