Hey! So I have 5 week old BLR Wyandottes. I was wondering if one was a rooster. (Picture 1 and 2 looks like the rest if you want to compare) picture 3-5 is the one I think is a cockerel. It has a red/pink comb and shorter wings.
Thank you!

I would guess that one's a cockerel, yes, but pullets can also get red combs early, so update in a couple weeks if you're still unsure. He also looks more like a Gold laced Wyandotte than Blue laced Red...

Ok, yes I will definitely update you in a couple of weeks. I was also thinking a gold laced because I have a gold laced pullet that looks similar. Thank you for the reply!

He started getting his waddles, and the other ones don’t even have their comb yet. Also he has a green tint on his wing feathers, does that mean anything?

Hmm, this is a tough one. The comb and wattles are pretty red, but not that large yet. I’m still going with cockerel, I think. The green tint doesn’t mean anything, most black birds have some sheen on their feathers.

Ok, thanks for the info. I don’t mind if he’s a cockerel or pullet I’ll keep it anyway. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Half of me thinks pullet other half says cockerel lol

**UPDATE**

He is now 10 weeks old. He still has some baby “fluff”, is that normal? He also has darker legs then the rest. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Thank you:)

He (definitely a he) is growing feathers at his own pace. As long as he gets plenty of protein to build the feathers, should turn out fine. Also, they go through a moult at about this age, so more feather growth.
