(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes and No.
No: I have had a flock for almost 2 years now and I used to care for chickens at a community farm prior.
Yes: I feel like every batch of chicks makes me feel like a newbie without fail.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 7 Hens, 1 Rooster, and 4 Chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Adults:
Americaunas - 2
Rhode Island Reds - 2
Silver-Laced Wyandotte - 1
Barred Rock - 1
Black Austalorp - 1
Prairie Bluebell Egger - 1
Chicks:
Calico Princess - 1
Jersey Giant - 1
Brahmas - 2
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Their silliness, personalities and affection!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love Jesus, drawing, and cartoons!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I love my family, they’re very supportive of my OCD (Obsessive Chicken Disorder)
I have 2 sweet doggos that adore the chickens as much as I do!
An Aussie - Copper, she loves to herd them into little piles and just be around them!
A Cavapoo - Bojangles, he loves to investigate the chickens, he’s currently obsessed with trying to lay beside the baby chick box.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found it a few years ago when I was looking in to chickens while I worked at the communtiy farm.
